Treasurer’s Report – Patrick Sutherland – No change. 5. New Business – a. Appointment of Ms. Lisa Baird to fill Seat 3. Ms. Baird will take on the role as secretary. b. Decision made to deliver the presentation of CSWCD’s mission to the Charlotte County Commissioners at their 1st meeting in September 2022. Mr. David Schutz will give the Board a preview at the August 2022 meeting. c. Discussion of the proposed budget for CSWCD has been tabled for the June 2022 meeting. d. The decision to have Doug Crawford of BMP give the Board a presentation about sensor technology, artificial intelligence, and irrigation management will be discussed further at the June 2022 meeting. e. Highlights from the FDACS/OAWP meeting on April 20, 2022 regarding the Proposed Senate Bill 1078 were discussed. 6. Old Business a. Requirement by the State of Florida for all CSWCD Board Seats to be included on the ballot for November 2022 Election. (Per communication from Charlotte County Supervisor of Elections). Members of the Board that intend to run for office in the November 2022 Election were provided with the necessary forms to file by the Charlotte County Supervisor of Elections office. 7. Partners and Staff Reports – a. Activities of Natural Resources Conservation Service : None b. Activities of Southwest Florida Water Management District – None c. Activities of Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services –None d. Activities of Institute of Food and Agriculture Sciences: None e. Activities of the South Florida Water Management District – None f. Activities of Charlotte County Water Quality Management – Brandon Moody gave a brief update on the upcoming water sampling project set for Charlotte Harbor. 8. Supervisor’s Reports David S. discussed his involvement with the Heal Our Harbor Project for Charlotte Harbor and its upcoming fundraiser event . Sue H. attended the Arbor Day Expo held at the Centennial Recreation Center on April 29, 2022 to provide community outreach to educate the public about the new Urban Farming Initiative through USDA/NRCS – EQIP Program. 9.
